Ranges of resonant acoustic vibrations and their form bear information on the internal structure of the studied solid. From a range of resonance frequencies of known form for a sample, the elasticity tensor can be measured and areas of localization of defects can be defined. One of the most sensitive methods for determining resonance frequencies and studying the form of resonant fluctuations is digital holographic interferometry (DHI).
