The prevalence of diabetes mellitus (DM) in the world at present has reached catastrophic proportions. According to the International Diabetes Federation (IDF), currently there are 382 million patients with diabetes, accounting for 8,3% of the population. As a result the growing obesity epidemic and aging of the population less than 25 years, the number of diabetic patients will reach 592 million people (IDF 2013).
