The overall objective of the research is to study the features of international cooperation in criminal matters, the scientific development of the theory and practice of coordinated fight against crime. Achieving this goal is available under the condition of a complex system of approaching solutions within the rank of interrelated tasks assigned and developed in the study, which are formed in the following way:
To define the notion and functions of international cooperation in the sphere of criminal legal procedure, and its role in the criminal matters;
To study the historical formation and the contemporary state of international cooperation in criminal matters;
To study and analyze the general provisions and practical problems of cooperation among courts, prosecutors, investigators of Uzbekistan and competent agencies of foreign countries;
To consider the issues of extradition of a person for criminal prosecution and serving of a sentence.
To consider the issues on recognition and order of enforcement sentences and regulations of a foreign country’s court
To identify problematic situations related to the implementation of various forms of legal assistance and working out proposals for the resolution of these situations.
To formulate proposals on improvement of the Criminal Procedure legislation and practice of its application on the basis of the results of the research.
