Content and Language Integrated Learning and Designing CLIL Courses

The topicality of the research. The decree number 1875 by the President Islam Karimov “On measure of further improvement of foreign language learning system” outlined the necessity for teaching scientific subjects in foreign languages. Now higher education institutions of the republic are trying to implement teaching social, exact and natural subjects in one of the major foreign languages such as English, German or French. And as the results of the implementation of these projects show there is a demand for further studying the principles of such courses, which targets at teaching subjects with the help of foreign languages. In foreign language teaching methodology these principles are studied under one term which is called Content and Language Integrated Learning. The study shows that there is a necessity for studying the principles, methods and approaches of CLIL and there is a need for theoretical study of underlying principles of designing such courses.
