Suffixation is one of the most productive means in the process of enriching and widening of the word stock of English language. Determining the functional status of suffixation, as well as certain types of suffixes; suggesting multi-sided classification of suffixes based on structural, semantic, etymological, stylistic and functional features of suffixes; presenting basic models of suffixational lexemes; showing asymmetric peculiarities of certain types of suffixes are disclosed and productivity and non-productivity of suffixes; working out an effective technology, including a system of exercises of teaching word creation ways to the learners of English is the key purpose of this dissertation. I also tried to present some ways of translation issues of suffixes from English into Uzbek and vice-versa; the foremost technology of teaching the theme word creation (suffixes) to the learners of English as a second language.
